Rivebend Hiking Station is a place where you will find people like you, who love to experience  Nature.

Our project was born when we decided to get away from the city looking for a healthier lifestyle. With this spirit, we decided to improve our knowledge and become certified hiking guides.

Our muse is this magical place, which inspired us to open our doors and share its beauty. 

After our Events and Hikes you will bring home the consciousness that each biodiversity is a treasure and should be respected and preserved.

Riverbend Hiking Station is a vaste property nestled in a forest in the river Ticino's Valley Conservation Area Park, specifically we are in a special area of the Park called "Natura 2000", where several birds species and their habitat are protected. We actually are located in a large riverbend and thanks to this we can see all the typical fluvial habitats, range from dry sandy lands to lush oak woods, passing though wetlands inhabited by several animals species. Check it out in our articles!

What about the river Ticino? It's one of the most clean river in Italy, we call it the blue river, indeed! This is not the first time humans had attributed a color to it, in other ages, the Ticino took the name of "golden river" because of the precious metals found in its bed.

We are hosted by several different animals species in their natural home. 
If you expect to find only waterfowl, you will be disappointed! Other types of birds are also living in the forests and in the fields. Speaking of flying creatures, in springs and summer you will be impressed by the colours of our butterflies.  However don't forget that we are in a forest, and soon you will be honoured by the presence of his Majesty the white fallow-deer, king of our hoods.
